GM 3.1
Overview
The narrative section of the report is the section that the Officer/Investigator is most reliant upon.
The narrative should follow a chronological order of events as viewed from the Officer's
perspective beginning from his receipt of a call or on-view of the offense. The narrative should
explain and bring together all of the aspects of the offense as entered on the previous Crimestar
screens in a story format that addresses all of the elements of the offense that are present, all of
the investigative findings and observations, and a complete chain of custody of all evidence and
property involved.
